- Realise-designed OUT-LAW scoops best legal website award
(www.out-law.com), the leading online reference reference point for legal issues in the technology sector has been named the best legal website at the Scottish Legal Awards. Run by specialist technology and information law firm Masons out of its Glasgow office, the site attracts two million hits each month and is one of the largest legal sites in the world.
Designed and built by Edinburgh based Realise, Scotland's leading e-business solutions company, OUT-LAW now has more than 17,000 subscribers world-wide. - Standard Life Investments commended in UK awards
Their commendation came in the hotly contested Best Online Investment Provider category and members of the Standard Life Investments and Realise team were there to toast their success.
The websites which can be visited through the portal page (http://uk.standardlifeinvestments.com) followed on from a major off-line rebranding exercise earlier in 2003.
Realise were tasked with a massive online rebranding and redesign project that encompassed thousands of pages across 11 major websites and a number of smaller microsites worldwide. The challenge was to produce a consistent brand vision across all the websites and to make sure that the new brand was effectively represented online.
Realise lead the design aspect of the project in a unique partnership with Standard Life Investments' internal design team.
The new brand positioning sought to reinforce Standard Life Investments' position in the global financial services marketplace and its commitment to delivering exceptional investments.
The task for Realise was to interpret the new brand guidelines and create an impactful, effective presence for the Standard Life Investments brand on the web. Using eye-catching, new global imagery and powerful brand value statements, the Realise team created a design that would resonate with visitors to the site from both across the UK and international markets.
Delivery to tight deadlines (eight weeks) and carefully managed costs were further parameters set and met by the Realise team, with the end result being the creation of new sites that met client expectations on both a creative and technical level.
